SPX offers new Sanitary Positive Displacement Pump with Optimal Efficiency

Published 07 March 2013 | By SPX Corporation

For more than half a century, SPX has been a leader in the design, manufacture and application of positive displacement (PD) pumps. With this experience has come a dedication to raising customer productivity, product quality and profitability. This has brought about advancements in processing technology and applications that have changed the way designers solve problems. SPX PD pumps are in thousands of challenging sanitary, industrial and marine applications around the world.

Positive displacement pumps mechanically displace a known volume of liquid so that the pumps, running at a constant speed, positively displace a liquid volume at a fixed rate. The new Johnson Pump brand TLP series was developed from a long line of
legendary pumps and focuses on processor requirements for reliability, product protection and cost efficiency.

The unique rotor attachment to the shafts utilizing lug screws provides a backlash-free connection that is easy to access and service. The TLP runs with optimal efficiency and handles low and high viscosity products. Its versatile mounting capabilities, robust construction and hygienic design ensures no cross-contamination of lubricating oil into the product zone making this pump superior in
both challenging sanitary and industrial applications.

The new pump with flushed double mechanical seals can run dry indefinitely and very low shear, ensures products are not damaged during pumping, making these pumps highly energy efficient and easy to clean, maintain, and repair.

Market knowledge and appreciation of customer needs have been used to improve the existing design concept with new features and customer benefits.

SPX Johnson Pumps TLP series are applicable for all types of hygienic applications. Our pumps are marketed to a wide variety of industries including: food, dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical, personal care, pulp and paper, automotive, paint, hydrocarbon processing, films, coatings and adhesives.
