BLAUDIECK® Foodstuff Hoses for Ultra-Hygienic Flow

Published 14 February 2011 | By ContiTech

Reliable hygiene is of the utmost importance in the food industry. When ensuring this in hose lines, it is a matter of selecting the right hose material and coupling system.

The high-quality rubber compounds and reinforcement materials used in the BLAUDIECK® foodstuff hoses from ContiTech satisfy the strictest hygienic requirements and possess all necessary test certificates. They conform to the recommendation XXI of the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) as well as directives of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the US.

Ready-to-install and absolutely hygienic

The hygienically smooth, non-porous inner lining of the BLAUDIECK® foodstuff hose that is absolutely odor- and taste-neutral is suitable for an extremely wide range of applications in the food industry. It is resistant to conventional cleaning agents and sanitizers, as well as being suitable for CIP (cleaning in place). BLAUDIECK® hoses with UPE inner liner are also resistant to high-power cleaning agents and disinfectants. Both the inner lining and cover of ContiTech brand-name hoses are resistant to grease, oil and lye.

Highly versatile

Thanks to their easy and trouble-free handling, BLAUDIECK® foodstuff hoses guarantee customers a highly versatile product and pay out in the end in terms of long and unproblematic service life. Together with the BLAUDIECK® hose coupling system, they form ready-to-install, antibacterial and reliable hose lines. In the food industry, the Blaudieck® hose coupling system is a favored standard when an ultra-hygienic hose line is required which enables smooth media flow in the coupling area without any dead space and which is easily piggable, i.e. cleaned mechanically. Hubert Butterwegge, head of sales and marketing for ContiTech's industrial hoses, stresses that the hose coupling system is made from stainless steel as standard, although other materials and various configurations are available on request.
