DBR Staff Writer Published 13 July 2010

Weaver’s Coffee & Tea, a brand owned by California-based Wild Card Roasters, has opened its first retail store and coffee roasting unit in San Rafael, California. The company will serve and sell its complete line of hand-crafted coffees and teas.

The company said that controlled batches of beans will be hand-roasted on its 45-kilo Probat coffee roaster in the store. The store features Weaver’s logo colors and seating for customers.

Michael Brown, CEO of Wild Card Roasters, said: “We’re very excited about this expansion, and the opening of our new roasting facility and retail store was a significant milestone for us.”

Weaver’s line of artisan coffee and tea features Certified Organic and Fair Trade Certified coffees, in addition to full line of coffees and teas.

The entire Weaver’s Coffee & Tea line is available for purchase in pound or bulk, or in half pound for White Label Reserve Jamaica Blue Mountain and Kona Reserve.

Six coffees are always available in bulk. Weaver’s Teas are available in loose-leaf 4 oz. bags.

Weaver’s hand-roasted coffees and fine teas are available through specialty grocery and gourmet food stores throughout the US.
