The company is also planning to introduce the juices in October, this year in select retails stores.

Tropicana North America vice president and general manager Björn Bernemann said: “We are thrilled to be the first to bring probiotics more commonly seen in yogurts, supplements and kombuchas to the mainstream juice aisle.

“As a heritage brand rooted in innovation, Tropicana is dedicated to launching significant innovation within the rapidly evolving health and wellness space.”

The soft-drinks giant, PepsiCo has been focusing more on health and wellness in the recent times and the recent product innovations reflect it.

It recently introduced Mountain Dew Kickstart with 60% less sugar. It is also launching organic Gatorade varieties and Naked cold presses juices.

PepsiCo’s president and CEO Kirk Tanner also noted that in the recent times, there has been an explosive growth in teas, coffees, sports drinks portfolio and in enhanced water, premium water and everyday water in water portfolio. But, the carbonated soft drinks market has been a low to no-growth market.
