Starbucks to introduce new VIA Flavored Coffees in US, Canada
Starbucks will launch VIA Flavored Coffees, a new line of four different coffee flavors, in the company stores across the US and Canada, starting this fall.
The four new flavors that will join in the family of Starbucks VIA Ready Brew are Vanilla, Mocha, Caramel and Cinnamon Spice.
Presently, the Starbucks VIA Ready Brew portfolio features Decaffeinated Italian Roast and Iced Coffee versions.
Starbucks claims that its VIA Flavored Coffee blends arabica instant coffee with a line of flavors, and is sweetened using natural cane sugar.
VIA Ready Brew coffees can be found in nearly 37,000 distribution points such as Starbucks stores, food storoes, drug stores, mass merchandiser stores, foodservice accounts and online in the US
Starbucks chief marketing officer Annie Young-Scrivner said that the launch of VIA Flavored Coffees demonstrates the company's drive to inject innovation into the coffee category and allows it to grow the business globally.
Currently, the company offers Starbucks Natural Fusions, a line of flavored ground coffees, at certain grocery stores in the US.
Starbucks said that it has introduced these two different natural flavored coffee lines, instant and ground, as part of the company's overall business strategy to grow its retail businesses and consumer products.
Starbucks said that its Natural Fusions coffee line is a blend of arabica coffee beans which are specifically roasted to complement a series of flavors.
The new Vanilla, Caramel, and Cinnamon coffee flavors come in 11oz packages at the suggested retail price of $8.99 in select grocery stores such as Target, Walmart, Safeway and Publix in the US.
