Starbucks unveils series of beverages for fall

FBR Staff Writer Published 07 September 2016

American coffeehouse chain Starbucks has unveiled a line of beverages for this fall.

While the coffee company has introduced a couple of new flavors, some flavors return like they always do for fall.

Making a comeback for fall is the Pumpkin Spice Latte, which is popularly known as PSL. Into its 13th year, this fall beverage from Starbucks is a blend of pumpkin spice sauce with cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and ginger.

PSL is handcrafted with espresso and steamed milk while getting whipped cream and pumpkin pie toppings.

The beverage according to Starbucks can be either served chilled over ice or as a Frappuccino blended beverage.

PSL can also be purchased at grocery stores in the form of Starbucks Frappuccino Pumpkin Spice, Starbucks VIA Instant Pumpkin Spice Latte, Starbucks Iced Espresso Classics Pumpkin Spice Latte and the newly released Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Caffe Latte K-Cup Packs.

Chile Mocha is an entirely new beverage which has made its debut this fall.

Prepared as a spicy beverage, Chile Mocha is made up of espresso and cocoa and cinnamon powder-infused steamed milk. Its toppings include a dollop of whipped cream and a finishing with a sprinkle of Chile Mocha topping made from ancho and cayenne chile pepper, cinnamon, paprika, sugar and a bit of sea salt.

Like PSL, Chile Mocha can also be enjoyed as a Frappuccino blended drink or consumed as hot chocolate, free from coffee.

The third beverage this fall is Salted Caramel which like PSL makes a comeback for the season. It is made from a blend of mocha sauce and toffee nut syrup and combined with milk and coffee.

Salted Caramel Mocha gets a sweet whipped cream topping alongside caramel drizzle and a mix of sea salt and turbinado sugar.

The coffeehouse is also making its non-dairy alternative Almondmik available across more than 4,600 stores in the Northern California, Pacific Northwest, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic and New York regions.

The beverages are available in participating stores in the US and Canada.
