Playboy Energy Drink Enters Third Distribution Agreement With Garden Foods

DBR Staff Writer Published 13 December 2009

To expand the availability of the beverage throughout Michigan

Playboy Energy Drink has entered into a distribution agreement with Garden Foods Distributors to distribute the beverage product throughout Michigan.

The company said that Garden Foods serves retail and convenience stores and also brings Playboy energy drink to on-premise locations. It also said that it marks as the third contract agreement with Garden Foods distribution in the US. The other agreements includes distributors in Northern and Southern California and in the New York/New Jersey area.

Playboy Energy Drink is available in 8.4- and 16-ounce sizes in regular and sugar free. It was introduced in late 2007, and is currently distributed in 11 countries outside the US, primarily in Europe and the Middle East.

Robert Nistico, president of Play Beverages, said: “Playboy Energy Drink has momentum. It’s no surprise that seven new top domestic distributors have added product to their beverage lines,” he said, noting that Play Beverages is “on-target to bring Playboy Energy Drink coast-to-coast by the end of 2010.

“We’re giving distributors the incredibly popular Playboy name on the label and we’re giving consumers a product favored by more than 90% of those in taste tests.”
