Lavazza introduces new semi-automatic coffee machine in India

DBR Staff Writer Published 18 November 2011

Italian coffee maker Lavazza has launched a new Plug & Brew semi-automatic coffee machine, 'Lavazza BLUE 4700' in India. The coffee machine is targeted at standalone cafés and restaurants.

The machine has a capacity to produce up to 200 cups of coffee per day. It works with Lavazza Blue capsules and has programmable keys for multiple product selections with LED display.

LB 4700 is compact and easy to use and extracts the coffee using pre-infusion process to give the espresso a more round, soft and creamy texture.

The semi-automatic machine comes with double group, dual espresso option and dual steamer for frothing milk, and has an automatic Cappuccinatore. It is available at a price of INR0.27m ($0.52m), Indiainfoline reported.

Fresh & Honest Café COO Sivakumar said the café culture is increasingly spreading in the Indian market and the company sees tremendous potential to tap this market with LB 4700.

Lavazza BLUE is an international project with the objective of exporting Lavazza quality Italian espresso throughout the world.
