Ken Forrester Wines names Cape Classics as exclusive US importer

DBR Staff Writer Published 31 August 2010

Ken Forrester Wines, a South African wine producer, has appointed Cape Classics as the exclusive US importer of its range of wines.

Boutique Wines had been the importer of Ken Forrester Wines in the US for almost ten years now, and nearly one third of the South African winery’s production goes to the US.

The wine company said that its three categories of wines namely the 'Petit' range, the 'Ken Forrester' estate range, and the premium 'Icon' range will be available across the US.

The 'Petit' portfolio features a Chenin Blanc, a Pinotage, and a Cabernet/Merlot blend, while the 'Ken Forrester' range comprises a Chenin Blanc, a Sauvignon Blanc, a Shiraz/Grenache blend, and a Merlot.

The 'Icon' range includes the limited-production Forrester Meinert Chenin, The Gypsy, and 'T' Noble Late Harvest.

Ken Forrester Wines founder Ken Forrester said that he is thrilled to be moored with Cape Classics, a very focused, purely South African operation.

Cape Classics COO Robert Bradshaw said that the company is fortunate to have achieved his faith, and is extremely proud to partner with Ken to represent his world class wines.

Through the inclusion of Ken Forrester Vineyards to the Cape Classics family, almost one third of all bottled wines from South Africa can now be found in the US, carrying the Cape Classics seal.
