Jose Cuervo Unveils 2010 Edition Of Reserva de la Familia
Jose Cuervo International, a Mexican tequila company, has unveiled the 2010 edition of Reserva de la Familia, which the company claims, is an aged Tequila made from blue agave grown in the soils of Cuervo estate.
Jose Cuervo said that each year since 1995, when the drink was first made, it has selected a new Mexican artist to paint the new handcrafted wooden box for its Tequila, and this year's edition features the artistry of Pablo Vargas Lugo.
The company further claims that Reserva de la Familia, which is aged in new French and American charred oak barrels, has a taste that combines floral, agave, vanilla, nut and Cognac-like flavors and is sipped in a brandy snifter either straight or on the rocks.
According to the company, each bottle is assembled by hand, numbered and dated, hand-dipped in wax and then placed in the handcrafted wooden box. The 2008 Reserva de la Familia is expected to be available in most states of the US in March for almost $100 per 750ml bottle.
Juan Domingo Beckmann, executive director of Casa Cuervo, said: The craftsmanship in the development of the Reserva de la Familia liquid and packaging is a true labor of love. It is our privilege to share the spirit of Mexican culture, and the artists that contribute to it, with the world through these distinctive and powerful forms of expression.
