Jamba Juice launches new line of protein smoothies

DBR Staff Writer Published 17 August 2016

Jamba Juice has introduced a new range of protein smoothies which the company claims will offer guests a delicious way to power up on protein.

The California-based restaurant retailer claims that the protein-packed smoothies are made from real fruit and boosted further by the addition of calcium, phosphorus and riboflavin.

Coming in three flavors – Chocolate Protein, PB & Banana Protein, and Cookies 'n Crème Protein, the smoothies have been introduced across Jamba’s 800 plus locations in the US.

As per the lifestyle brand, its chocolate protein flavored smoothie is a blend of Jamba’s “chocolate moo’d”, protein and banana.

The peanut butter and banana chocolate protein smoothie is a result of blending protein-rich peanut butter with bananas and whey.

Cookies and Cream Protein as the name suggests is made of real cookies and cream.

Jamba says that each of the smoothies contain atleast 28g of protein.

Protein-rich diets are beneficial in calorie and fat burning, curbing carbohydrate cravings and also in muscle repair and growth.

Jamba franchisee and tennis star Venus Williams said: "Jamba Protein Smoothies are a perfect way to refuel and regain energy.

“My daily workout is often two hours of intensity and a protein-based snack or beverage afterwards is essential. These new Jamba smoothies are the perfect solve for my fitness needs and delicious, too."

Globally Jamba Juice has over 880 stores where it serves specialty beverage and food offerings.

Its offerings specifically include freshly squeezed juices and juice blends, smoothies, hot teas along with snacks such as hot oatmeal, sandwiches and baked items.
