Green Mountain Introduces Two New K-Cup Portion Packs
Green Mountain Coffee has introduced two new K-Cup portion packs for Keurig single-cup brewers namely revv and revv Pulse K-Cups.
The company claims that the new K-Cup portion packs are packed with Arabica coffee and were designed to appeal to the same active consumers who made energy drinks the fastest-growing beverage category in the US. According to a 2009 report from Mintel International Group, 50% of adults surveyed say they drink coffee for an energy boost.
revv and revv Pulse samples will be handed out March 18-20 at the Burton US Open Snowboarding Championships at Stratton Mountain Resort in Vermont.
Green Mountain Coffee is part of the Specialty Coffee Business Unit of Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (GMCR), and is a roaster of specialty coffee in K-Cups. revv and revv Pulse K-Cups are available through Office Coffee Distributors, and at revvcoffee.com, GreenMountainCoffee.com, and Keurig.com.
TJ Whalen, VP of marketing for the specialty coffee business unit at Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, said: “revv packs more coffee into every K-Cup, so you can super-charge your day without extra sugar or calories. If you need to get into gear and keep it going, we suggest revv Pulse—a rich brew that boosts alertness without compromising on taste. Ginseng and guarana are natural additions to revv’s high-performance power.”
GMCR’s operations are managed through two business units. The Specialty Coffee business unit produces coffee, tea and hot cocoa from its family of brands, including Green Mountain Coffee, Newman’s Own Organics coffee, Tully’s Coffee, and Timothy’s World Coffee.
The Keurig business unit is a manufacturer of gourmet single-cup brewing systems. K-Cup portion packs for Keurig Single-Cup Brewers are produced by a variety of licensed roasters and brands, including Green Mountain Coffee, Tully’s Coffee and Timothy’s.
