Farmer Brothers Selects MicroStrategy For Operational Reporting And Analytics

MicroStrategy to provide insights into financials, manufacturing and human resources


MicroStrategy, a provider of business intelligence software, has revealed that Farmer Brothers has selected it for operational reporting and analytics.

Farmer Brothers said that the MicroStrategy reports and information dashboards will provide its employees with detailed insights into financials, sales order processing, manufacturing, procurement, inventory, and human resources.

Reportedly, Farmer Brothers has acquired multiple companies over the last several years and is leveraging MicroStrategy along with RapidDecision's pre-built data marts to deploy its business intelligence applications and to ensure that its acquired companies have consistent enterprise reporting across all operational constituencies.

Bob Ing, IT director of Farmer Brothers, said: "We selected MicroStrategy because it offers us a low total cost of ownership. We were excited to find a BI provider that delivered dashboards, reports, alerting, and advanced analytics all from one platform. In addition, MicroStrategy integrated easily with RapidDecision's data marts, which enabled us to deploy our BI applications very quickly and provided fast time-to-value."
