Europa Sports to distribute Celsius supplement drink to health, fitness facilities in US
Celsius Holdings, a Florida-based producer of energy drinks, has entered into an agreement with a North Carolina-based distributor of nutritional supplements, sports drinks and accessories, Europa Sports, to distribute Celsius pre-exercise supplement drink to health and fitness centers across the US.
Europa Sports delivers around 200 health and wellness brands not only to mass market retailers, but also gyms, health food stores and specialty supplement retailers throughout the country.
Europa Sports operates seven distribution centers throughout the US that provide direct delivery to accounts, in addition to telemarketing and fulfillment operation.
Celsius Holdings senior vice president of sales Kelly Michols said that the health and fitness retail channel can be difficult to service as it consists of many independently owned or franchise accounts.
“By utilizing telemarketing and direct distribution, Europa has an effective sales and distribution strategy to service this market. Their service level is second to none, Michols said.
Europa Sports CEO Eric Hillman said that the company is very selective with the brands it carries, and it firmly believes the Celsius line will be a great fit with the majority of its customer base.
The company claims that Celsius has been scientifically shown to burn calories, reduce body fat, energize metabolism, and provide lasting energy.
Celsius is said to contain no sugar, no high fructose corn syrup, no aspartame, no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives, and is low in sodium.
The supplement drink is made using a proprietary blend of ingredients, MetaPlus, which includes Green Tea with EGCG, Ginger, Caffeine, Calcium, Chromium, B Vitamins and Vitamin C.
