DuClaw Brewing Opens Pub At BWI

DBR Staff Writer Published 03 February 2010

DuClaw Brewing Company has opened a pub at the AIRMALL at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI). BAA Maryland, developer of the AIRMALL at BWI, has welcomed the Maryland-based brewery and pub chain to the concessions program at the airport.

A full-service restaurant and bar, DuClaw (2,294 sqft) is located landside adjacent to the Southwest Airlines ticketing counter, making it accessible to both airport visitors and ticketed passengers.

DuClaw Brewing Company said that the AIRMALL location features a host of brews for diners, including: Misfit Red, a medium-bodied amber ale, Kangaroo Love, a beer with a light body and full malt flavor, and Alchemy, a dark beer that gets its smoothness from flaked oats.

Diners seeking a sample of DuClaw's craft beers can order a DuClaw Sample Platter, featuring mini-servings of different beers. Beyond the craft brews, the DuClaw menu features an array of wine selections, appetizers, snacks, salads, sandwiches, grilled specialties, soups and pub entrees.

DuClaw Brewing Company has three other Maryland locations – Hanover, Bel Air, and Bowie.

Carol Fearns, vice president of BAA Maryland, said: DuClaw is well known in Maryland for its finely crafted brews and tasty pub food. Now that it has opened its newest location at BWI, we know it will become a favorite among both travelers and people who might be visiting the airport.

Joining DuClaw is a new full-service Auntie Anne's Pretzels, located on Concourse B. Seasoned pretzel makers will cut, hand-roll, twist and bake the pretzels, which are made from dough that will be prepared on the premises, the company said.
