Davidson's Tulsi Tea hits US market

DBR Staff Writer Published 16 June 2011

US-based Davidson's Organics has announced that the company is introducing Tulsi Tea, a herbal product with healing properties, in the US market.

The company said Tulsi is revered in India as holy basil and is a health-promoting herb.

The tea is full of antioxidants and often prescribed as a stress reliever for its adaptogenic qualities, it said.

Davidson's added that the tea which is perfect for sipping, icing, or blending into specialty drinks and cocktails, is introduced in six flavors: Signature Blend, Pure Leaves, Rooibos Chai, Spicy Green, Hibiscus Flower, and Chamomile Flower.

Davidson's Sales & Marketing Director Kunall Patel said, "Every ingredient in our tea is certified organic and the entire line is Fair Trade certified. This pureness and traceability are real selling points to consumers interested in knowing where, how, and by whom their food was produced."

The line of Tulsi Teas is available at grocery stores in several US states.
