Expected to create up to 1,000 jobs opportunities

Coca-Cola HBC Eurasia has revealed plans to establish a new soft drinks plant near Rostov, Russia, FoodBizDaily reported quoting Xenia Zenkova, communications manager of Coca-Cola. The plant is expected to be operational by the end of November, after the completion of the required construction works.

As reported, the plant still needs to obtain certificates and licenses for its future products and the degree of completion of the plant is estimated at 90-95%. The factory will also be subject to technical formalities in order to be put into operation.

According to the company, the new facility's capacity at the first stage will be around 300m litres of soft drinks per year with six production lines. Over the next five years, the company has plans to construct a second stage with two production lines, thus enhancing the plant's total capacity to 500m litres of soft drinks and beverages yearly.

The new plant will specialize in the production of natural juices, apart from soft drinks and beverages. Installation of bottling lines and manufacturing of juice will need additional investments.

The total cost of the project is estimated to be more than E90m and the new plant is expected to create up to 1,000 jobs opportunities.
