Coca-Cola selects new partner for Chicago distribution

DBR Staff Writer Published 21 November 2014

Coca-Cola has selected Great Lakes Coca-Cola Distribution, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Reyes Holdings, as its new partner for distribution in the greater Chicago area.

An agreement to this effect was signed by both the companies. It follows a Letter of Intent announced in February with Reyes.

As per the agreed terms, Great Lakes Coca-Cola will distribute Coca-Cola products across the region.

Coca-Cola North America president Sandy Douglas said: "Reyes Holdings has a proven track record of building strong brands in mature markets with local customers and will be an important asset to our System.

"We're proud to welcome Chris Reyes and Jude Reyes to the family of Coca-Cola franchise bottlers in North America."

Reyes Holdings currently has operations across North, Central and South America, as well as Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.

Earlier in April 2013, Coca-Cola signed Letters of Intent with five US bottlers in order to create a stronger US business model by granting new, expanded territories.
