Celsius To Hit Shelves At Walgreens Throughout US
Celsius Holdings has said that its calorie burning beverage Celsius, is available in the diet section of Walgreens drugstores throughout the US. Walgreens is a drugstore chain with around 7,100 locations in all 50 states and the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
Walgreens sells four packs of the Green Tea flavors of Raspberry Acai and Peach Mango.
Kelly Michols, vice president of strategic sales at Celsius, said: Walgreens is a significant retailer addition that will maximize the effectiveness of our national marketing campaign. As people learn about Celsius from TV ads, radio ads, grass roots event marketing, print media, or online through social media efforts, they will be able to easily find Celsius at a Walgreens near their home throughout the country.
“We are especially excited about the compelling in-store promotions planned at Walgreens to encourage people to try and reward them for buying Celsius.
The company claims that Celsius has been scientifically shown to burn up to 100 calories and more per can by raising metabolism and providing sustained energy. Research demonstrates that consuming one Celsius prior to a workout may enhance the benefits of regular exercise, such as cardio fitness, endurance and body composition.
Celsius, the company said, contains no sugar, no high fructose corn syrup, no aspartame, no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives, and is very low in sodium. Celsius is a proprietary blend of ingredients: MetaPlus, which includes Green Tea with EGCG, Ginger, Caffeine, Calcium, Chromium, B Vitamins and Vitamin C.
