Campbell Soup introduces low sodium vegetable juice
Campbell Soup Company, a manufacturer and marketer of soup and sauces, baked snacks and health beverages, has introduced V8 Spicy Hot Low Sodium 100% vegetable juice.
New V8 Spicy Hot Low Sodium 100% juice is available at supermarkets, club stores, convenience and mass merchandise stores nationwide for a suggested retail price of $3.99 for a 46-ounce bottle.
The company said that in the past three years, original V8 100% vegetable juice has been reduced in sodium twice and is now at 420 milligrams of sodium per 8-ounce glass. Last year, the original Spicy Hot V8 juice was also reduced in sodium by around 40% to 480 milligrams of sodium per serving.
Campbell Soup Company vice president beverage marketing Dale Clemiss said that the company is pleased to offer a kicked up version of original Low Sodium V8 juice, which has been a fast-growing part of the V8 franchise over the years.
“People often associate less salt with less flavor. But, V8 Spicy Hot Low Sodium offers the spice and heat people are looking for that’s not often found in low-sodium products,” Clemiss said.
Campbell offers around 200 reduced sodium products across its portfolio of soups, sauces, beverages, pastas and breads. This includes the entire V8 beverage portfolio, which meets government standards for heart-healthy foods.
