Burger King To Brew Seattle's Best Coffee In Restaurants Across US

Burger King has agreed to offer Seattle's Best Coffee, in approximately 7,250 of its restaurants across the US by September 2010. The coffee is available in hot or iced, with optional vanilla or mocha flavor and whipped topping, at a suggested retail price of $1 to $2.79

The company claims that it offers coffee made from 100% arabica beans as part of its commitment to enhance its brand's beverage platform and breakfast menu.

Seattle's Best Coffee will replace Burger King current BK JOE coffee program.

John Schaufelberger, senior vice president of global product marketing and innovation at Burger King, said: With more than 40 years of heritage in premium coffee, Seattle's Best Coffee brings a high-quality, great tasting cup of coffee to Burger King restaurant guests in the US.

“The addition of Seattle's Best Coffee expands on our Have It Your Way brand promise by offering our guests even more beverage options and strengthens our ability to remain competitive in a continuously changing industry.

Burger King system operates around 12,000 restaurants in all 50 states and in 73 countries and US territories worldwide. Approximately 90% of the restaurants are owned and operated by independent franchisees, many of them being family-owned operations.
