Anderson Valley Brewing Company (AVBC) has released its new Deep Enders Dark Porter beer. The beer will be available in draught and 22-ounce packages.
The brewery said that Deep Enders Dark Porter is a full-bodied porter with a cream head, chocolaty aftertaste and a roasted coffee character. As with all of its products, Deep Enders Dark Porter is never sterile filtered nor heat pasteurized, and should be stored in refrigeration. According to the company, the beer should be served between 40° and 45°F. AVBC crafts beers in the town of Boonville, California, which is located in the Anderson Valley of Mendocino County.
The company has also come out with its limited-release anniversary brew, Imperial IPA, which comes in bottles printed with a sunrise label. The beer is an 8.7% ABV, hopped beer.
David Gatlin, director of brewing operations at AVBC, said: “This Imperial IPA is balanced and possesses a high degree of drinkability. Possibly too high."
The Anniversary Imperial IPA will be available for very limited release February 1, 2010 in 22oz bottles and draft.
AVBC opened the doors to its brew pub in late 1987. The brewery claims to craft its ales using only the ingredients premium malted and roasted grains, hops, yeast, and Boonville water straight from its own aquifer.
